Frequently Asked Question
What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is the primary healthcare profession that helps to restore mobility, wellness and independent function. Our Physiotherapists are well trained to diagnose movement dysfunctions, kinetic chain problems and postural deviations associated with pain and reduced mobility. They can help you by using different physiotherapy treatment techniques to alleviate pain, improve functional strength, endurance and posture.
Will physiotherapy help my condition?
It is common to be uncertain about the results of any new treatment. At PhysioRehab Group, Brampton you get a free 10 minutes phone consultation, which will help you understand our services and their advantages clearly.
If Physiotherapist recommends assessment, you can go ahead and book an initial session and consult with the Therapist in person. They will then assess your condition and create a personalized treatment plan to restore mobility.
How do I schedule an appointment?
We will make every effort to book you an appointment at PhysioRehab Group, Brampton within 24 hours. You can contact us via phone, email or walk in to book an appointment.
How painful is the treatment?
How should I dress for my appointment?
Does insurance cover it?
What if I don’t have an insurance?
PhysioRehab Group, Brampton is a private physiotherapy clinic, which means we are not able to bill OHIP for physiotherapy services. In any case, the province of Ontario only provides OHIP-funded physiotherapy to seniors (over 65), youths (under 18), or individuals who have had a procedure in hospital that required an overnight stay. Prices for Physiotherapy services are same for everyone and consistent.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
How long does a session take place?
An initial assessment is booked for 45-60 minutes. Individual treatment times are booked for 30 minutes. It is reasonable to allot an hour for an assessment from start to finish and 35-45 minutes for a treatment as some treatments, such as acupuncture, may require additional time.
What can I expect from my first session?
The first visit to the session will include some health screen paperwork and a through analysis of your condition. The therapist will discuss your medical history, symptoms and concerns. Later, a course of treatment plan will be discussed for you to follow in the up-coming sessions.
Are all the therapists trained and licensed?
All our therapists have received years of training at the university and have adequate practical experience to treat your condition. They are all licensed and Registered by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
What is your cancellation and no show policy?
You can cancel your pre-booked session via phone or email. There is a $25 charge for not giving a 24 hour notice for cancellation of the upcoming session. We appreciate if you would give us a 24 hour notice when cancelling, so we are able to accommodate someone in need of a session.
